The candle-light plays games with my eyes,
Dancing reverently over your masculine body.
The muscles tighten and twitch with every touch.
I trace the ligaments and tendons,
Every bone and pore with my tongue.
I can taste you. More than you could know.
Hands slipping into one another,
Fidgeting with anticipation; pulsating with adrenaline.
How can you be here? With me?
What makes me so special?
I guess I’ll never know.
Or maybe the answer is right in front of my eyes.
Maybe I’m just blind to your undying love.
It grabbed me by the throat and pulled me under,
Like a tidal wave; a torrid tsunami.
It’s uncontrollable. I just can’t stop.
Growing, and morphing into something spectacular.
I glance into your eyes, and for a moment I see all that I am;
All that I am not. All that I want to be.
What I should be.
Through my reflection I see your love, your lust,
Your need to protect me.
Your arms surround me, keep me safe,
Pulling me under once again
Into this abyss that I’ve come to know as home.
