The snow falls around us,
covering everything with it's beauty.
Fossilizing the emotions, and sentiments
in their places. Frozen in time.

Your hands roam my body,
reading me like Braille to the blind,
finding all my secrets and
vulnerability. How broken
my soul is inside.

Your eyes bore into mine,
like that of a laser,
seeing I am more than a
shattered woman. A half-full glass
waiting to be finished.

Your lips brush against my cheek,
my hair, my lips. Taking the hollowness
with every kiss,
like a vacuum annihilating
dust under a rug.

You're holding me against you, erasing
every scar that exists; your body
becoming mine, mine is yours.
Melting into each other.

I had to write a poem for creative writing class about an incident that happened in our lives or that we witnessed that had 3 uses of enjambed lines and a metaphor or simile. this i what i wrote.

it shows how i knew i loved anthony. i think this is possibly the best i have written so far. i love it.

this is revised from what i originally wrote, so i hope you like it because i worked really hard on it. Unfortunately, my creative writing teacher tore it to shreds, and wanted me to change half the words that made it what it is. she wanted me to change "vulnerability" and take out "froze in time" and the part about the vacuum annihilating the dust. if i take those parts out, it ruins the whole point of the poem. so i'm ignoring what she thinks with this one. i like it the way it is, and so did half the class. if i change it, it wont mean what i want it to mean anymore.

Ooh I really like it...I especially like the line "reading me like Braille to the blind." Definitely one of your best. :+fav:

thanks. my creative writing class chose that as their favorite line too. too bad my teacher picked apart everything and wanted me to change like half the words...which completely ruins the point of the poem. whatever. i'm not changing anything.
