A great wide expanse between us
Opposite ends of this great planet.
It feels as though I’m all alone,
Even though you are right beside me.
Unimportant, not good enough;
Unworthy of your love.
I wish you made me smile
more than you make me cry.
I wish I could tell you nothing’s changed,
But that would be a lie.
I love you, but I miss you.
I miss us. Can’t we have us back?
